Adriana Esteves has over 15 years of professional experience in the field of intellectual property, specializing in strategic IP management, technology transfer, and economic valuation of intangible assets. She also has experience in patent drafting, patentability analysis, infringement analysis, and freedom to operate in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and engineering. Currently, she is responsible for the planning and execution of projects for the creation, protection, management, and monetization of IP in innovation processes.

Ms Esteves worked for seven years as secretary general of the Portuguese bio-industries sector, responsible for project implementation and representation of the sector in meetings and conferences nationally and internationally (such as the BIO International Convention, BIO-Europe, and business missions to selected markets). She also worked for three years as a researcher at Instituto Superior Técnico. Her main projects included: “Development of Milk Quality Control Tools” (1999 to 2000) at AGROS, a Portuguese company in the milk and dairy industry, and “Faster Development of Fermentation Processes in the Pharmaceutical Industries” (1998 to 1999) at Cipan, a Portuguese pharmaceutical company.
