Ana M. San Luis is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Disputes and Investigations practice in New York. She specializes in digital forensic investigations, complex data collections, blockchain forensics, e-discovery, data analytics, and compliance.

With more than 15 years of experience, Ms. San Luis focuses on providing advisory and expert witness services for investigations, litigation, and review/assessment matters. She has worked with clients in varied industries, including financial services, energy, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and technology.

Ms. San Luis has led matters involving alleged intellectual property theft, patent disputes, trade secret misappropriation, employee misconduct, suspected fraud, alleged sexual harassment, and suspected data breaches, as well as class action lawsuits for 450+ matters in the U.S., U.S. territories, Asia, Europe and Canada. She recently led an investigation for a prominent global technology company related to alleged employee misconduct and misuse of company resources and assets to mine cryptocurrency for personal gain.

Ms. San Luis has also performed anti-money laundering (AML) Look Backs for financial institutions, in addition to gap analysis, data reconciliation, and end-to-end data validation for data migrations, system assessments, process/controls assessments, and risk management of associated regulatory and compliance technologies.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. San Luis spent four years with LECG’s practice in New York, serving most recently as a Consultant. While there, she expanded her international experience, performing on-site forensic preservation, analysis, and litigation consulting in areas including Montreal and Germany. She also served as the primary forensic examiner and on-site expert in a patent dispute litigation for a trading software company in Chicago.

Ms. San Luis earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. She is an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and a member of Women in eDiscovery (WiE) and the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA).
