Belle Van is a partner in Blaney McMurtry LLP’s IP department and a registered patent agent in Canada. She graduated with a JD/LLB from University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy and with a BSc in radiation sciences from the University of Toronto. Her practice focuses on intellectual property disputes and strategic IP counseling, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation and patent prosecution. Her extensive expertise encompasses litigating complex patent cases, spanning pharmaceuticals, new technologies and medical devices. She has frequently appeared before the federal courts of Canada and has also been involved in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.
