As a result, there have been a number of major infringements of patented processes for pharmaceuticals, as well as patented compounds and compositions by local generic manufacturers, which import the generic drugs or their active ingredients from China, Brazil and India and then formulate and/or repackage the drugs for sale in Pakistan.
