Gerard P Norton, PhD, is the founding chair of the intellectual property department at Fox Rothschild LLP and currently serves as co-chair of the firm’s pharma and biotech practice group. He advises manufacturers and developers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and medical device sectors. He has extensive experience litigating complex matters pertaining to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade dress, trade secrets and breach of contract. A graduate of Fordham College with a BA in biology, he went on to earn a PhD in biomedical sciences at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a JD at Fordham University School of Law. He held a post-doctoral fellowship with Merck, Inc.
