Judith Krens is a Dutch (Amsterdam Bar) and US (New York Bar) qualified intellectual property litigator. She has over 20 years’ experience in advising clients in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical devices and chemical industry. She has worked with a wide range of clients, from multinationals to scale-ups and starts-ups. In particular, Judith has extensive experience of complex multijurisdictional patent and supplementary protection certificate litigation in the field of pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical devices, and assists clients with complicated matters in pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory law. Judith has further worked in the M&A and private equity team of a leading New York law firm, which gave her top-class experience in negotiating intellectual property licences and transfer agreements. Judith is one of the co-founders of the Female IP Experts network in the Netherlands. She frequently speaks at international and national conferences on pharmaceutical and biotech patent litigation. Judith is an authorised UPC representative, and is able to represent clients before the UPC.
