Maia Biermann is a senior reporter with a focus on trade secrets globally. Before joining IAM, she covered business and politics in her home country of Georgia and the wider Caucasus region for international publications, including the US-based Eurasianet and Prague-based Transitions, and edited Tbilisi-based English newspaper Georgia Today.  For over eight years, Maia was a business reporter with Investor.ge, Georgia’s flagship business magazine. She holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Nottingham Trent University.
