In 1977 Dr. Michael Maikowski founded his patent attorney firm in former West-Berlin. Detlef Ninnemann, who had his own firm in Bremen, joined Dr. Maikowski in 1989 to form a joint patent attorney firm – Maikowski & Ninnemann.

From the beginning our policy has been to provide a direct contact between client and intellectual property expert to allow highest levels of efficiency and to guarantee optimal strategies for protecting our clients' intellectual property.
