Paul is the general counsel at PacketFabric Inc, a network as a service (NaaS) company. At PacketFabric, he leads the team that oversees the company’s legal function, including commercial contracts, licensing, litigation, M&A, employment, compliance and intellectual property.

Prior to PacketFabric, Paul was deputy general counsel and global head of intellectual property at TuSimple, a self-driving truck company. Under his leadership, TuSimple more than doubled its average patent strength and quality (measured by LexisNexis’s competitive impact metric), resulting in over 70% of the US-originated patent assets to be rated within the Global Top 10% of patent families according to LexisNexis. Paul did this while growing the patent portfolio size by over 400%.
