Sunali has technical expertise in various fields of technology including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, therapeutics and recombinant DNA technology. She has nearly five years of experience in filing and prosecution of international, foreign and national level patent applications – relating to pharmaceuticals, biological technology, chemical processes and entities; conducting equivalent searches; advising clients on a host of biodiversity issues and patentability under Indian Law as well as seeking approvals from the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA). She has undergone research training at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, on the purification and characterisation of proteins.

Sunali is also a registered patent agent.
