Project LEAD (Leadership Education And Development of Underrepresented in Medicine Medical Students) — American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and Rheumatology Research Foundation (RRF)

Project LEAD is a virtual mentorship and educational program for underrepresented in medicine (URiM) medical students interested in rheumatology. Participants attend 3-4 virtual roundtable sessions (60-90 minutes each) led by ACR member rheumatologists from underrepresented backgrounds, covering rheumatology, work-life balance, and fellowship preparation. The program includes networking opportunities, career guidance, and access to scholarships for ACR Convergence and other educational events.
