Advanced Emergency Medicine Elective — NYU Langone Health

The Advanced Emergency Medicine Elective is a four-week clinical rotation for senior medical students from LCME-accredited schools interested in emergency medicine. Students gain significant hands-on patient management responsibilities across multiple NYU Langone emergency departments in Manhattan and Brooklyn, including didactic lectures, simulation labs, ultrasound training, and procedure workshops. Accepted students are eligible to apply for one of ten $1,000 scholarships based on demonstrated commitment to service and community engagement, and visiting students who complete the rotation receive an electronic standardized letter of evaluation (eSLOE) for residency applications.
