URiM Visiting Student Program — University of New Mexico OB/GYN

This 4-week visiting elective for MS4 students provides hands-on clinical experience in OB/GYN at University of New Mexico Medical Center while building relationships with faculty and residents. The program has a diversity focus, giving preference to applicants who are low-income, first-generation college students, or from rural counties with health professional shortage areas. Accepted students receive a $2,250 stipend and mentoring opportunities focused on UNM's mission to address social determinants of health in New Mexico.
