Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) — Duke University School of Medicine

Third-year internal admission for current Duke MD students (2nd or 3rd year) interested in PhD training through the Medical Scientist Training Program. Students join as first-year PhD students, complete 4-5 years of PhD training, then return to finish their final MD year. For those entering before completing the third-year MD research requirement, the PhD substitutes for that requirement.
