The R38 StARR (Stimulating Access to Research in Residency) program is a four-year Internal Medicine residency offering 18 months of 80% protected research time during PGY3-PGY4, designed for residents interested in becoming physician-investigators. Residents receive personalized mentorship, develop individual development plans, and have access to NIH-funded research mentors and courses to build research skills in clinical, translational, or basic science research.
