About this opportunity
The student fellowship in Anatomic Pathology and/or Laboratory Medicine offers medical students a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, gain a foundational pathology education, and receive hands-on experience working alongside residents, staff, and faculty. Students take a dedicated year away from core medical school curriculum, usually between third and fourth years, to train in a role that closely parallels a first-year resident (PGY-1). The program includes rotations in Surgical Pathology, Autopsy, Cytopathology, and Laboratory Medicine subspecialties, along with mentored research. Established in 1983, graduates have matched at top residencies and gone into every possible specialty.
